Letter Dear Court

Letter Dear Court

A Poem by lee von cleef
"

A page that fell from the box,I tipped over, to share with your sons and daughters. A Moms window into Men.

"
Dear Court,
Our family and "Symbol Girl" just a short note from a guy who never writes, but, thinks he can.
I love you. I am sorry if you "catch" my weak points;Stacking,Procrastinating, Not communicating,
Eating, and total disregard for money . I hope you keep soaking up the good ones; Looks, Warm heart,Thinker,Pressure producer,Poet,Reader,Athlete, and Diplomat . All we have in life is each other.
And what is life? The journey ! Sop it up! Morning and night. The crisp sunrise,Sticky afternoon,
Windy over cast sunsets ,Long Dull People, and your Mom.
NOT DULL is she ?Talk about a life full reckless  abandon. She lives more in one day then most do in a week.
NOT Spelling is a kick too.

Me who knows where  this will print? Make good choices. Live with your bad ones. Stand tall.
Breathe.Now again deep.
Don't be like the rooster who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow. Wake up,listen the world
is talking to you.
H. Greeley  1811 -1872
Go west young man,and grow up with the country.
Me Dad,"Keep building a good foundation, Wear good shoes,Stretch your mind,
Know your Passions !
John Haynes Holmes- " The Universe is not Hostile, nor yet is it Friendly, it is simply indifferent"
Dad,Prepare yourself to react without thought, through slow deliberate practice. Sweat the
tears of passion.Rise up and Smile ,Bring  " it"  on......
May god hold you in the palm of his hand.
I AM,
Love your Dad.

Bittersweet, this tugged at my heartstrings. Tough read for me on this day, yet a wonderful message of how we should greet each day whilst we still have the time to embrace life. Just lovely, this is going from my heart to the shelf to savor again and again.

Oh I am so very sorry. This really touched my heart. The love brims over in each of these words and it a beautiful tribute. Again, I am so distressed for you and your pain.

Reading this I found it to be powerful and emotional. It does pull the reader and takes them on the journey with the writer. This is one amazing letter showing the love of a parent and lots of wisdom and good advice.

Moving, and full of fragments of wisdom. And love. Court may no longer be with us but she and her spirit live large/ inside of you.

She put away and kept what was important to her. And she sounded like she took the advice and was paying forward. I'm glad you found it, and I think you are right in she would have wanted it shared.

I am filled with even more emotion reading this - knowing what happened. But this letter, wow - "And what is life? The journey ! Sop it up! Morning and night. The crisp sunrise,Sticky afternoon,
Windy over cast sunsets ,Long Dull People, and your Mom"
Yes - many of us miss these journeys in life. "Make good choices, Live with the bad" Great advice. I wish i had a letter like this from my own parents. I especially love when you say "Breathe. Now again deep" - Boy do I ever need to hear that. You love your daughter, and this letter is so full of that. There is one Dad in your life and you were here Dad. Thank you for sharing this. There is so much in here that a only a Dad can say to his daughter, and you did such a great job doing so.

Court learned all of that and more she learned how to give with out strings, just give.
Lee this is awesome. Best advice ever and from one who lives it. This is what gives it the priceless quality. I will share with my own boy. And you. Beautiful,
