Patience

Patience

A Poem by lee von cleef
"

Parables ,Parabola, Phonics provide mental for play.

"
don't bite the hand that feeds you
or the jailer who keeps you
Patience
don't spur the willing horse,
I might add,
while pulling on the reins,
Patience
don't idolize the shell or vessel,
Patience
accept the river
Patience
feet first.

I Like this. I like the construction of it. The tone of it, the feel of it. I had to read it a few times to truly appreciate the delicate flow of it, and then there was the pearl inside of it, the parable. An astonishing piece, Lee. A poem with a message we can all use, and apply to our daily lives. For patience, is not an easy thing to master.

move forward always, but with a bit of caution...impatience can cause us to drown in our own rush...
love the way you did this one...the repetition of "Patience" works so well...

Interesting I am not the most patient one I always think that there is a sequuence of actions that will determine the result and pursue it that way so is always a continuous battle really. Yet here I am invited to stop and ease out a little bit.

Maybe I should consider this

Thankyou

I love this Lee, a gentle reminder to us all, that patience is a delicate thing, a practice, something very easy to see the hypocrisy in, when it is lacking. And yes, much of it is about acceptance and understanding... perhaps then, there can be a slow soft guiding, of the riverbed. And the structure of this too, is lovely, layed out with a patient poet's hand...
