Shut Up

Shut Up

A Poem by Invisible Ink

Previous Version
This is a previous version of Shut Up.

Silence

is golden

I understand this

we learn most

when we are not

speaking

but listening

I hear things

in the dead night

I would not repeat

and then I open my mouth

and shout

and cry out

this is not right!

Words must be said

against injustice

againt racism

sexism

hate and politices

let us learn

from our pasts

let us not

repeat it, again and again

let my voice

be one in millions

that don't shut up

that scream

until we change it
