Do You Remember?

I don't know what's going on today buuuuuut this is one of the poems I wrote because of it

 

 

Do you remember who you were?
 Before the world told you who you needed to be
Before you met those dark creatures
                And were forced to grow up that day
Realizing they no longer reside under your bed
                But have made themselves at home in your head.

Do you remember what it was like?

Before you split apart?
Before you traded memories for a poisonous fog

Do you remember what it’s like to be filled with life?
Or has that too simply become a memory to you?

Who were you…

                Who are you now…

Who are you going to be….

Do you remember?
Or is it just a foggy memory?
