A writer without a pen
A duck without a wing
A boat without a captain
A singer who cannot sing.
A reader without a book
A bear without a friend
A light without a shadow
An email that won't send.

A dog without a tail
A sock without a shoe
they aren’t nearly as depressing
as I am without you.
