Searching

I wrote this poem at a time when I was struggling to put a peice of work together. It examines and explains my process of writing from conception to completion.

Wandering through the corridors

my steps ring loud in the silence

Searching for the story

Searching for the reason

Searching for a path

 

Out of silence comes chaos

pounding into me with a thunderous jolt

Flooded with dramatic pleas

Flooded with pitiful disease

Flooded with mocking prose

 

Digging for the thought, my hands

become weak and my judgement clouded

Searching for the light

Searching for an end

Searching for an identity

 

Silence again surrounds me

a gleam of hope appears

Peaceful with the fruit

Peaceful with the decision

Peaceful with the end

If you don't know what to write then why not write about that :) I like that! As most in here I can easily relate, sometimes there's a creative idea, but no words come to express it, and sometimes it's the other way around, frustrating to say the least. It's only when those two cooperate that the joy for writing can be felt, atleast for me. If there only was a way to stop writers block from happening... One way of achieving that for me was to drink 6-7 Red bulls per night to get some kind of coffeine, taurine overdose or something, I stopped doing that because of the health issue :) Anyway, I liked the poem, nice rythm and flow. Wasn't as blown away by your poety as I was of your story-writing though, thuth be said, but that's hard to top

Well C.rose,
Have read three of your pieces. Most are succinct and straight on with little abstraction other than that which the reader imposes upon himself. This is the longest of the three. Writers block plagues us all from time to time, but inspiration comes when it comes. I can relate.....

Kudos for the write....keep inspired.

unable at first to find their way out, but in the end finding the light.
