Heart of the Sun

This is our time, I know it in my heart
that shining, integral, loving

part of me
is rarely ever wrong

Go ask the heart, not the brain
and it will tell you who to trust

and what is real

And its simple, uncomplicated
veracious song

will resonate with quiet truth

Learn to turn down the sciatic din
of a reckless, dissonant world

and try to lie in stillness

There you will hear it
and think you are going slightly insane

Listen harder and you will begin to realize
it is the sound of your returning

Leading you further into wonder
and a higher marque of clarity

To a wisdom not obtained in books
and where the music

of one vital, precious heart
can sweeten the incessant, clangering voltage

of the Sun's miraculous golden journey
