Football

A Poem by cschear87
"

A child plays football/soccer with immense talent

"

Kick the ball and run down the street

Over a hedge and back to their feet

Another kick and header to follow

But left alone to play and wallow.

Could be better than Ronaldo

And kick like Rivaldo

Maybe be the best like Best

Or even better than the rest.

Dribble fast with a trick and a cross

The ball went out so give it a toss

With a ball at their feet and a wind of the leg

It landed in the goal, only a net between pegs.

Grab the ball and get in goal

Saving the net from a fast ground roll

Throwing it out and quick to defend

Retrieving the ball from the Goalkeepers' tend

Tiki-taka and pace was inherent and a cinch

Take back possession with no more than a pinch

Another Rooney, Rodriguez or Robinho ahead?

Unlikely but she continued with a pass from her head.
