Her

Her

A Poem by ctwood
"

A girl is angry, scared, and sad... why?

"

Her

Described is a girl of beauty here

As an object of some greatness nears.

Hairs on the back of her neck stood on end,

Goosebumps as caused by wind appeared from panic,

A tent of unusual red as a result of fury arose.

Her eyes…

filled with rage,

                        laced with forgiveness,

                        dusted with sadness.

Her lips…

                        creased with anger,

                        wavered by tears,

                        lined with faded happiness.

Her cheeks…

                        pale with fright,

rosed in the center from fever,

feeling faint her dimples still showed.

Her hand…

gentle, untouching, as a mere touch would shatter glass,

pale to her finger tips from terror,

a soft, deadly quiver from infuriated passion.

In her beauty are signs of anger, terror, and woe,

What possibly could have struck her so?
