A Poem by cycy

the memories are all we have...

Life is one big confusing maze.

Some days are bright, some days are dark.

Sometimes it’s one huge fire ablaze.

Today I'm high, next day I’m low.

Yet the prior was more than right.

Why can't everything simply flow?

One minute together, the next you are gone.

I didn't even get to say goodbye.

Worst off our last talk was through the phone.

Time flies, the sorrow goes.

One click, it's back again.

Why me?? Only God knows.

Eventually it does get better.

One step at a time.

Then it all falls together, sooner or later.

Why can't everything simply flow? A question I ask every day... This is a thoughtful piece, Cycy.

thanks so much rita :)
i think it's the hardest part of life, probably because we don't know what's next for the people that pass. imagine if we knew for a fact that he otherside was better than here, I wonder if we would feel any differently about those that pass?

you have written it all in the first line - and yes - life is a confusing maze - heartfelt - well done X

I like the persona's take on the subject of loss. There's this acceptance and hope that things will get better in the end. My condolences...
