Looking out my Window

Looking out my Window

A Poem by Riley

Looking out my window
I question my existence,
Wondering why it is I am here,
My dog growls at the dishwasher and seems not to care he lives a life of such monotony,
Am I the only one who cares?
Staring at my coffee in The Goonies mug, I question the little things yet never the big
Maybe I have too much time on my hands,
Guess I should get a hobby

I think under the fun wording these words of yours are actually rather quite sad...
Being bored and feeling there is nothing to do... yes, a hobby...something that inspires you might be the answer? Seems that writing might be a good hobby for you...
Most of us question our existence...
I actually could visualise being in the kitchen with you...as your words were so descriptive.
I only recently started submitting and actually submitted a few poems I wrote when I was 20 in 1970..
You might enjoy reading some of mine..There is quite a difference between Screams written in 1970 and Fields,, written recently.

I question the little things too. I shouldn't but it comes naturally I guess.

The tone of the second stanza is from where you'd expand. Guess we should all get a hobby. .

Can do, if you find it before me please share too
You've managed to express something deep, powerful and poignant.
We all have times of doubt and sometimes the hard times are very hard indeed.
I really liked this write.
