A Story Foretold

A Story Foretold

A Poem by Dana Ferguson

Where I am now
Is a story already told
A book that was long ago written
Hidden in universal folds
Peace and despair tell the story
Pages filled with streetlights of the night
Others with glowing orange sunsets
I've never been one to skip to the end
But I have a good idea
This book was written in sun-kissed shadows
And I fear it will carry to the end

Dana this is a great poem. It can be quite the challenge, to write a piece, that works without punctuation in some way. This has to be the best piece I've read that's done this. To be honest, most poems I've read, that completely throw out punctuation, can be a mess in some places. You've written a marvelous piece. Well done.

Well thank you so much, that is very kind :)
I guess, you capture the pastel hues of your very life in words quite well.. even you talk 'bout the world that's being captured/written and rune into the pages. So, needless to say, it's just a story - the story told by legends. Nice imagery.
