Come for a Visit

Come for a Visit

A Poem by Dana Ferguson

Pictures on the wall,
banging to a beat.
Rugs rolling and unrolling,
fringes nipping at your feet.
Windows open wide,
then close you up inside.
You shouldn't come to visit,
but I promise if you don't you'll miss it...
Come in I'll take your jacket,
and toss it on the hatchet.
Have a cup of tea,
and you won't want to flee.
My cozy home houses only one,
but I'll let you stay with me.
I'll make you stay with me.

The last sentence sent chills down my spine!! "I'll make you stay with me." No!!! :) Good job; I like the rhyming. Keep it up!

An invitation with an affirmation. I like where you went with this. Bravo..................
