Don't Go To His Door

Don't Go To His Door

A Poem by Dana Ferguson

Don't go to his door,
he's sleeping with his lover.

Tantalizing thoughts linger,
back in time I go.

The smell, the feel.
I remember now it's unreal.

I'm different now,
it's gone.

I float to his house,
a letter set on fire.

Don't go to his door,
he's sleeping with his lover.
