Tattoo

A Poem by Dana Ferguson

Like a tattoo,
just me and you.
Ink on skin,
so close to you.

Perfectly placed on the nape of my neck,
soak into my skin so slow.
Holding on tight from the pleasure not the pain,
maybe I'm stronger than I know.

Great poem. When I was reading it I completely mistaken a tattoo for a kiss, because it really coincides with a similar feeling when a kiss is placed on the neck. I could feel the passion just by reading this, well done.

This poem is one of the most beautiful pieces I've read on this site. Your writing is absolutely stunning and intriguing. I love the simplicity but also the strong emotion of attraction and lust. When you placed the tattoo on her neck, everything began to melt into this emotion of love and as you added the word "slow", it's all of the sudden, becomes as if I am reading the text in slow-motion; it's like taking a blow to the stomach that ignites such a grand emotion laced in attraction, all in just one word.
I love the eerie sort of feeling as well.
All in all, a wonderful piece.
