Tonight

Tonight

A Poem by Danielle Nicole
"

We had a power outage for 7 days after a freak snow storm in october. This poem was written in the dark on the first night.

"

The darkness surrounds.

Emits not a sound.

The wind howls-

The wolves all growl.

There on the prowl.

Tonight.

The trees dance around-

To an unheard sound.

And owls coo,

As I take in the view.

Tonight.

The stars twinkle.

The moons shines bright.

And I think I just might-

Get lost in the peace.

Tonight.

Tonight.

Oh what a night-

We feel no fright,

On this very dark night-

Lit by candle light…

Oh what a night…

What a night…

A night…

Night…

Tonight…
