This comes from complete disgust of our government "leaders"

Tarnished

 

 

Zero-hour, time to go home

Futility in leadership has taken its toll

Vigilance of failure as its being played out

Leaving behind promises, betrayed no doubt

 

Soldiers and civilians led to the slaughters

Blood of Americans sons and daughters

Twenty years, all for naught and now we are gone

Eerily reminiscent, that of Saigon

 

America the tarnished, hang your head in shame

Quit pointing fingers, both sides are to blame

Disgraced beyond words and no one could tell

What America is thinking or what’s the next SELL

 

What’s to become of US, now that we’ve fallen

To such a degree, Veterans come callin’

“Why the betrayal, lies and deceit”

It is time to hold fire to their political feet

 

Thank you to all Veterans and active

You went above and beyond of that you were asked of

It is now time to come home and rest

Until that next time you’re put to the test.

Thank you for your words. I will say this the fault lies in the decision to ever invade and set up occupation. The soldiers accomplished what needed to be done once Bin Ladin was dealt with. We never should have stayed because you have to understand the region in historical sense. You can not force freedom at the point of a gun especially in a theocracy that has been so embedded in that regions history. Look what happened to Russia when they tried. We can't even get our own house in order here in the states. With our own hatred toward one another based on politics and race and religion, yet we expect other countries to want to be like us? That's a fantasy especially in the middle east. We had no business occupying that country and our brand of freedom is incompatible with the history of that region of the world. Really think about it the only democratic state in the middle east is Isreal. Do you honestly believe any Muslim and Arab state wants to be like us? No they don't. Our troops did what was asked of them and served admirably. It's our politicians and government on both sides that failed. Just like they are failing us here at home. Because they are greedy and it's all about money with them. Big giant contracts to the major weapons contractors all from our tax dollars while we fight amongst ourselves for scraps and arguing over race, freedom, politics, and masks. All this while these greedy politicians make close to 200 thousand a year doing absolutely nothing for us. In a few years we will be like the country we just destroyed and we would have deserved it because we can't get along with each other to fix our own failed state.
