Your sweet and caring ways, your smile and laughter

There no longer is that happily ever after.

I wish I could look into your deep expressive eyes

And really tell you that deserved heartfelt goodbye

I truly loved you with all of my heart

Not one part of me thought we’d be broken apart

You were supposed to be here forever

I did not want you to leave, no never

I know someday soon I will see you again

But until then

I will miss you so much my very special friend

This is dedicated to a dear friend of mine, Travis, that passed away earlier in the year. I miss him dearly but I know I'll see him again one day. Thank you for taking the time to read, rate, and review. I really appreciate it all :)

I'm so sorry about your loss. I don't have any personal experience, but it's clear that it's very difficult losing a friend.

Yeah, I know what it is like to lose a friend. Just a week ago one of my friends got hit by a car while crossing the street to get on the bus. But anyways, I love your poem, it really touches base with the emotion that floods through someone when something devestating like that happens.
