Spill the Moon

Spill the Moon

A Poem by Sanober

you should be more careful,
when you move, my dear

what with you...
spilling moonlight
into my poem, with a mere...
flick of your hand,

turning massive mountains into...
flowing champagnes
of ancient haiku

your smile...splitting the skies
into a million golden
and turquoise verses

with your hair in the breeze
always leaving me scattered...
all over the place
in dewy-dreamed,
peony-cheeked
poetry-drops of you.

Very well formed, this poem. It describes the moon in a poetical way, very well. A scientist once said that a scientist makes hard things easier to understand, and a poet makes easier things hard to understand. In this poem you show how easy it is to understand a scientific body such as the moon. Scientist have tried and failed for 'eons'! Well done!

I am delighted to have stumbled across this beautiful poem of yours Sanober. The title was particularly intriguing and initially captured my attention & then, well I found so much to applaud that I have had to read it over & over. Well done and I am thrilled to have been the first to review 'Spill the Moon' - However, I most surely will not be the last.

All Good Things,

Neville
