Crooked Mouths

Crooked Mouths

A Poem by Gigi
"

Vent

"
Send someone to get me.
Out of this place.
I'm looking at cryptic words slyly swishing out of crooked mouths.
I'd rather not feel my head burn when I see you look away.
The frustration catch a hold of me like an angry vengeful bee.
A crooked mouth... Hah!
I talk way too much. I never say anything. My lips flap like hummingbird wings and you can barely hear them.
A constant hum, a drone. Is what I aim to share. I don't want you to see me. I don't know if you even care.
I have to say what I mean, if I don't I'll lose the way--
But every argument we have makes me wonder why you'd stay.

I'll lay here in bed tonight, that busy ticking in my brain. Another night I'll sleep restlessly and invite in all the pain.

I can stand another day.
