Through Your Eyes

Through Your Eyes

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Through my eyes I can see

all the beautiful colors

the world has to offer me

from the life giving green

of a new born leaf

to the mysterious blue

of heaven’s floor.

Through your eyes they become

a three dimensional

priceless piece of art.

Through my eyes I notice

all the animals of the world

as such caring creatures

that enjoy every breath

and the simple pleasures

they are given.

Through your eyes you see

every beat of their hearts

as a sweet love song.

When I see a baby

I see new life,

you see the future.

When I see a good deed

I see compassion,

you see humanity.

Oh how I’d love to see myself

through your eyes

just so I can see

the man I am and the man I want to be.

Definately one for the ladies (as O says). There is a great feeling of the closeness of a male and female when reading this. I find it very hard to write in a consistently light tone and think you have done a great job on this here. The uncomplicated language also shows a really caring feel to the poem. Great write.

The ending was so poetically beautiful. At first I thought you had made a mistake with the title when you started off talking about seeing through your own eyes but then I loved the progression to her eyes. Great write.

What a wonderful piece to read on Earth Day made my heart happy and placed a smile upon my face. Beautifully done my friend. Truly a wonderful heartfelt piece of work here. Sorry took me a while to get to this. Lost my modem Thurs night and was not able to really do anything online until now. I liked the feeling this gave me and the peaceful thoughts it shared.

Great Job!!!!!!
