Angel With A Dirty Face

Even the most innocent have secrets

Nature’s breath rolls in stealth

except the earth’s dust

that can’t be tamed.

Heaven’s tears fall

so compassionately down

a porcelain face carved

of beauty and grace.

These forces of nature alone

define divine innocents

but together create

an angel with a dirty face.

Danger lies in being alone

but the devil is a waken

when two make a pair

from lights and mirrors.

The answers to pure wings

is found in the thickest part

of the rolling fog.

So seek and you shall find

what is written in stone

until the new day dawns.

I have alot to say about this poem yet again another great poem of yours, you have the gift with the mind heart and the hand that writes your poems, This piece stuck out wonderfuly cause of just mainly this part

I still sense such pain.....truly an enormity of it. I like very much your images and metaphors. I find this to be quite succinct and to the point. However, I wonder if you are both writing about your pain and at the same time obscuring it. In some of my poetry I do this. Good write.

I have to agree that this part is by far the best! I speaks so much of the mysteries of the middlelands, the places inbetween where the spirits and secrets lay.
I loved the poem! It was deep and made the reader reflect on what it may mean to themselves.

I think that it could have ended with the fog. The last part threw it off for me. But that's just me. :)

Beautifully written and finely constructed.

You create pictures with phrases, touch on things in a subtle but very clear way :

'Danger lies in being alone / but the devil is a waken / when two make a pair / from lights and mirrors.'

The reader has to dig a little to discover what she/he thinks might be wrapped in the words. Consequently and maybe, we find differences according to how the mind thinks:

'The answers to pure wings / is found in the thickest part / of the rolling fog. / So seek and you shall find
what is written in stone / until the new day dawns.'
