When My Earth Reflects My Time

When My Earth Reflects My Time

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Gazing upon reflections

Through atmosphere eyes

I see that my life

Maybe just a speck

Yet it is no greater or no less

Then any other living soul.

My failures

Hidden accomplishments,

My victories

Priceless treasures.

Clearly I see the roads

I traveled were never straight

Yet very necessary,

For every paved mile

Cemented my character.

My mistakes

Greater strength,

My good deeds

The real me.

I now know through faith’s eyes

Revealed to me through

My hearts content

That when I am one again

With the planet

And my earth reflects my time

My soul will take its place

Behind the pearly gates,

But my spirit will still grow

From the seeds of my heart

I planted in those I love.

This is a great poem to show how our lives can be unperfect but we can still love others and our failures or our off the beaten path attitudes can make us stronger better people in the end. I love the last stanza the most of all.

Beautiful poetry. I love the way it not only describes your life, but also the way that your life will affect and live on in people you were close to throughout your life.
