Nocturnal Truth

Nocturnal Truth

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Only under the guidance of midnight

I can see the words that have been hidden

From the sound barrier.

So try and hide the writing in the stars

I can read the moon’s smile

For the tell tale signs

Then clear up the details by reading brail

With broken fingers to remind me

Of the cost in finding the truth

Inside a black hole…

Soul disregarded

By its own intuition…

Divine intervention

Lost to the subconscious…

A single whisper

Arises with the dawn,

Welcoming a tombstone,

Creating a new breath.

Embracing that which is darkness in life is the message I received reading this.. I could be wrong.. but that nocturnal call and the plight of darkness that is so much a part of life. Acceptance of death in life.. not fearing the things that restrict so many in everyday life and finding a renewed reason to live. This could also be creative for the story of a werewolf or vampire.. just embracing the call of the darkness.. and of course some people are truly nocturnal in nature. Great job!

The spirit of man never breaks in spite of monumental setbacks and he rushes to catch the slightest glimmer of hope, intuition be damned.

You are welcome Dale.
Wow, love this one Dale, so happy to have chanced upon it....you need to send me RR's! I could have missed this tender morsel. Embrace the dark, you speak my language aside from the fact that you speak fluent sarcasm as well! Great one!

Dare I use the phrase-nocturnal emissions--- Nocturnal Truth gives off radiate insights about life's journey to find truth & to gracefully accept the cycle of life .. I especially loved the lines: "I can read the moon's smile" 'with broken fingers to remind me of the cost of finding the truth" 'Inside a black hole ... soul disregarded by it's own intuition" "Creating a new breath"
Thanx for sharing this illuminating writ.
LLR ... PS: interesting use of font ...

It does seem that during the times that seem the darkest, answers only come while reflecting under the midnight moon, but do we ever get all of the answers for which we search - as though we are blind and must read answers in braile, but even then the answers are not always clear so we search on. It takes divine intervention to bring us to that single whisper that arises with the dawn, but even hope of change and answers leads one to a place of new death, and more questions....welcoming a tombstone, creating a new breath.
A deep, philosophical write that I am sure shall be interpreted in many different ways!

Definitely something different going on during nighttime, night following day, night of the soul.
"Then clear up the details by reading brail/With broken fingers to remind me/
Of the cost in finding the truth"
Love those lines. They ring so true. Very nice write here.
