A Vision In The Night

A Vision In The Night

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

After a couple hard rants I thought it was time to get in touch with my softer side again.

"

Her radiance glows

like the sunrise,

bringing a mysterious beauty

to every midnight.

Now that I see the darkness

in a whole new light

when I close my eyes

my vision is sharp enough

to see beyond heaven,

while my soul interprets hell

as merely a unicorn.

Thank you again... glad you liked it.
Soft and sublime...you hit the mark. "Her radiance glows/like the sunrise"--a beautiful image, and a beautiful ode to whomever you are referring. The last line reminded me of the movie "Bladerunner" for some reason...lol Overall, well written, my friend.

I pondered over that last line too. Very unique way to look at it and quite thought provoking.

Interesting symbolism you got there. It's like this yin and yang, balancing the dark side with the light. It's not easy to pull off but it actually worked out pretty well here.

Tis is a beautiful piece and quite different for you. I am reminded of the Doors' phrase "bright midnight" as it seems to fit in well here. The last three lines seal the deal ... to see beyond heaven and interpret hell as nothing more than a mythical beast. A bit of spiritaulism that I think Jim Morrison would approve of.

Wow that is quite a compliment for the lizzard king is one of the greatest lyricists. Thank you.
Dadgummit, I submitted my review, but it didn't save. Sorry, Dale.
I like the comparison between an ethereal sunrise and the darkness of midnight. It's easy to make the moon a shiny beacon in the night, but you went for something different, and it worked. I also love that hell has a unicorn. All in all, this piece gives a feeling of magic, glowing and amazing. Nice work.
