I Am Every Devil

I Am Every Devil

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

A truth and a lie, reality and fantasy, heaven and hell... they all intersect at some point.

"

I will be the black

Within your smile

When you crack that insult

Behind the mirrors back.

I will be the red

That stains your hands

Every time you lose your grip

On the grasp of substance.

I will be the blue

That clots your veins

If your heart skips a beat

For that song out of tune with life.

You best close your eyes

So you can see the truth,

Cause even the color blind can see

That I am every devil

That will leave you to freeze in heaven

If you cling to all my theories.

Thank you sir... I plan to.
Everything is connected in some way; all courses intersect and diverge at some point. I wrote a piece that dealt with the idea of opposites, and color--the difference between black and white (the actual colors, not talking people here). Black is the consumption of everything, and perhaps that is why it get painted with such a dark brush, metaphorically, while white is the absensce of color, and to me, that seems almost more sad. Anyway, I digress...I like this piece, and the way that you dealt with the idea of heave and hell, good vs. evil, light vs. dark...and the fact that we must always remember that to have one, there must be the other as well. Life is a balance, as is the universe.

Awe thank you. That made me smile.
The freezing in heaven line was really good. The devil is trying to make you think that heaven is overrated anyway. Very interesting piece, Cowboy! Angi~

Thank you, sometimes my mind goes off on tangents.
I've shelved this one in my library and I stop by here to re-read it again and again. Idk why I like it so much.

Anytime. :)
Ah, a beautiful ending line there, and nice work with the colours. It isn't very often that you see really good poetry using colours...

Good.... Strong.....as I said "Even "Twisted trees reach for the sky"
and some prayers never make it there.
