Tis The Season To Face The Masks We Wear

Tis The Season To Face The Masks We Wear

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Reason has no rhyme,

Rhyme doesn’t lead to reason

In this yearly time

Of seasonal treason.

Fear of the dark

Is like crying wolf

When you are in search of

The dark side of the moon.

When you play the Joker

In order to entertain the court

You really become the Riddler

Turning a question into a bad pun.

Just hold up your truth

Like lady liberty does the torch

And let it burn bright

So you can face the heat

And live in peace after cremation.

It is a joy to read your poetic plays. Even in the darkness there is a twisted light to illuminate the page.

Well said sir, thank you fr reading and commenting.
i know someone who fits as the subject of this poem...a wolf in sheep's clothing...and he is destroying Lady Liberty as if she was little red riding hood...and the fairy tale was coming out with a bad ending.
If only he could riddle me this....the truth, just once.
