Lunar Music

Lunar Music

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Every night when the city sleeps

Deep in your mind music plays.

Though very faint it is there

Giving a feeling that all is ok.

So many times you look to the sky

Swearing it rides down on moonbeams

And often when your look to the sky

You’re certain you see a piano and wings.

Every note beats with your heart,

Every chord at one with your soul

That this phantom song brings no fear

In fact you welcome the heavenly harmony.

As you go about your life blissfully unaware

This masterpiece is played by your guardian angel

To drown out the negative sounds of evil

That tempts your conscience and goodwill.

How did I miss this?? Wow Dale. This is magnificent. The subconscious mind... at work. Dreams. Guardian angels... the heavens... it's all relative.

Somewhere deep inside we know we are not alone and that every thing will be OK. Despite what we see ...

Faith.

I loved this poem. Your wonderful talent really shines here :)

This is very well written Dale. There's a feeling of darkness here, a ghostly gotham city type feel. Funny how music can hit on so many emotions and change the ambience of life.

Nice write Dale, kind of dreamy in content, I believe that music does heal the soul, it is always there for our listening and brings tranquility to our often confused minds. I think that is what you are saying with this piece.

Ahhh the music of the night. I hear the magic in the night, when the world is supposedly sleeping. You poem is so incredible and brought so many new thoughts to mind. Your words are musical!

I love the moon - of course, that could have something to do with the fact that it is the only thing providing light in my yard at night (we don't have lots of electrical things way out here lol). A while back ( a few months??) there was actually a blue moon - quite a site when there is nothing in the sky but natural light. The moon definitely speaks of music and the stars dance throughout the night. I loved the pic with this piece - something very primal about dancing before the moon - or under it lol.
