It is said we hurt the ones we love the most, but I think it is more because of the disappointment one might feel after being hurt. But then again without that hurt, that pain, how would we know true love? Love and hate, pleasure and pain, they are both two sides of the same coin. You can not have one without the other.
This has that rare quality of being profound and fundamental. It's personal, but also universal. I love the description of this abundance of pure love that you have for others who are kind. That rush of love can be uplifting or painful, because you can never know exactly how to show it. No gestures ever seem big enough. But this poem is a wonderful gift in itself, and mixes the intellect and the heart just right.
This is absolutely brilliant... I have read it quite a few times before reviewing this wonderful poem, giving the reader the privilege of looking inside your brain.
Relationships and friendships tend to touch us in our inner core, for better or for worse.
Sometimes they seem to end like 'Armageddon'... I can relate to that...
I suppose that is where the line 'there is a thin line between love and hate' comes in. In my view, it is not possible to love or hate someone if they have not touched you profoundly before.
Even if this poem ends in Armageddon...
It shows that you are capable of showing true love!
Try to remember the good in every relationship or friendship you ever had and maybe at that point, you can leave Armageddon behind?
I can certainly relate to the sentiment in this piece. Sadly, those who are closest to us often bear the brunt of our most raw emotions...but those people who are truly special, whether lovers, friends or family, will realize our true intent. Remember, it's never to late to say "I'm sorry"...I have to remind myself this all of the time. This was a poignant read, which struck me emotionally (just as the last piece of yours that I read did)...you've definitely gotten in touch with your emotions and some nice writing has been the product of this. Nicely done, my friend.
A profound write Cowboy. Since Armagedon is the battle to end all battles, it just becomes one long daily battle with no end in sight. Well written piece. PS
This is very true. I love the style and I love the sophistication and how you dissect yourself and ezpose your flaws but acutally make them a part of you, it's acceptance of onself and it's marurity for being able to know yorself. Awesome. :)
It's better to be dead and cool than alive and uncool
