The Black Hole

The Black Hole

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

I don’t know when

I don’t know how

Somehow… someway

I was suck into

A little black hole

In an endless universe.

My questions of survival

Try to kick in…

With it so dark in here

How will I know when

I hit the ground

Since all my emotions

Are wrapped so tight

Around one another

That feeling is gone?

With all my thoughts

Being tossed around

In this vortex of hell

How do I separated them

Long enough to find

A solution out of this

Bleak misery?

Above all

I can’t figure out…

How my soul became

This black hole

In this wide universe

Of my heart?

There are moments when we all feel like this. I guess it's part of being human, our emotional roller coaster of sorts. The good news is, is that you are writing about it. Release those inner demons instead of keeping them bottled inside only to fester into an even bigger hole. Keep writing...keep releasing no matter what.

Oh no, not the black hole. Great metaphor being used here. Like your opening and closing verse.

You are the whole strong masculine you but inside there's that delicate, easily hurt thing called a heart..
it fractures, breaks, numbs, throbs, skips a beat depending on what's going on in life and then, it crawls its way to what we call a soul.. that undefinable, inexplicable soul no man or woman can explain, The spirit peculiar to each human being, the spirit that is outside, above and around that becomes its own mayhem or own Godsend or both.

That last stanza says it all..

Self expression is a hard thing for a writer to write about, but you did a great job of doing so in this wonderful poem. Found it a pleasure to read. Keep inking the pages and releasing those feelings trapped deep inside as it's not a healthy way to live. I should no I just started letting people know how I feel and sure has made a difference...no longer do I chose to sit back and let life pass me by. Well Done! P.W.

Well, sometimes that funk just slaps us right in the face, no? I think....no, I KNOW sometimes it's best to just dive into that black hole. For comfort. There IS comfort in the darkness at times.
This is honest, Dale. Emotionally charged and we cannot deny the emotions of life. :)

Powerful, sad, it has loneliness and also...the most deep feelings...emotions! I love it!

Powerful emotions here, I sometimes come to wonder about my own heart at times. Why it sinks what is this emptiness inside or why I am feeling the way i do. I like your expression here.
