The Balance Of Nature

The Balance Of Nature

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

A soft off shore breeze

Refreshes the spirit

As soul searching waves

Crash against the rocks.

The balance of nature

Is in full effect

Bringing the good with the bad.

So even when the heart

Is sinking like a stone

The soul is free as a bird.

Brilliant metaphors in comparison to being human.. a real feeling and flow of self-discovery pours out as well in this inspirational write! As we truly can compare those waves to so many elements that plague us and crash at the great barriers of our souls... bringing the good with the bad.. embracing everything in everyday life.. so much can be found in this writing that may be short but full of meaning! Thank you so much for sharing... divine and profound! =)

What a delightful poem. Yes, even when our heart is sinking, we can continue to rise. Very nice piece!!

"So even when the heart
Is sinking like a stone
The soul is free as a bird." how i love those last 3 lines!! such a simple but a beautiful & powerful piece. intense imagery that really makes you feel like your standing there, listening to the waves, feeling the breeze. getting in touch with nature is a very spiritual experience, & can lift the spirits. now uve made me wish i was standing on a beach somewhere, letting nature heal me. such a gorgeous write, going in my favorites.

This transported me back to a time when I used to go down by the water to reflect on things when I was upset. When my mind and heart were tangled up, the perfect flow of nature somehow lightened the load and put things into perspective for me. Well written.

So right you are my friend, I just deleted my last poem, in the trash where it belongs, with the relationship. And I'm feeling much better, as God said "they may kill your body but never your Soul. Thank you sweetie for sharing your awesome write. I hope someday I can write a few words worth keeping again.

i read this three times and it just keeps getting better and better. I love it, so beautifully written and filled with powerful natural elements. I really liked the imagery of being on the beach mulling about a situation. I could almost hear the seagulls crying in the distance. I'm going to read it again!
