The moon stares down

at an unmarked grave

awaiting the time

it can smile upon

blood rich soil.

This is very dark indeed...I can totally see the moon reflecting blood red, instead of its usual pearly white. Great write-uniquely dark! I can see this poem as the basis of a macabre story...

I have read this one over several times. I am thinking the moon awaits the craziness of the night to begin. Humankind especially seems to lose their minds and often become violent when the moon is full........very thought provoking, excellent piece.
