Burn, Burning, Burned

Burn, Burning, Burned

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

The candlelight accents the room just enough

to make everything in it look beautiful.

The crackling sounds coming from the fireplace

has the task of keeping loneliness company.

The walls are engulfed in flames with the intent

of keeping the heart in its home sweet home.

Three verses that capture the beauty of Christmas! The format matches the three words of the title, and as they change meaning, so do the verses....very creative!

I love this darlin, a vivid piece, the three blocked structure...fitting for the title is amazingly powerful, such warmth and brightness but with a tinge of awareness :)
Beautiful!

What a lovely ocher yellow heat, which gathers the wood, and this peaceful sound would make me sleep so perfect, as it would blow or rain outside. And you hear the rain on your window you know... The simple delicious sounds from scratch, are very powerful and the most telling. Divine write here. :D

A rather sad poem with what seems like a tragic ending to it. The fire starts out small and increasingly gets bigger and thus destructive. No nothing can keep it at bay, and what once looked good turns into something very dark and lethal indeed. This is what your poem spoke to me.

Dark and powerful. I find the use of fire appealing as the character, and the ending leaves a nice little dark feeling on the palate.
