Abandoned chair

Abandoned chair

A Poem by dadist poetic

Oh abandoned chair
dragged like a corpse
by two long weak arms
pulling you slowly
on the scratched floor
untill your wooden limbs are full of scars

you're heavy tonight abandoned chair
are you keeping up with the long strides?
of two bendded legs
walking with a burdened pace
" is it pain or disgrace? "

Oh don't worry abandoned chair
we're almost there
hold on to those slippery fingers
lay your weight on that crooked back
take a nap abandoned chair
it's a long way home
"we're almost there"

Bam
abandoned chair falls

They left you halfway.
.
you'll never go home

Wow, I just felt like the chair was a great symbol anyways well done I mean the metaphors and similies of "dragged like a corpse" and the scenery you created was pretty good understanding that the atmosphere was dark and gloomy with "you'll never go home".

Makes me curious as to what the abandoned chair is representing. I like how it can become the readers perspective on the meaning and not necessarily just for the writer.

Interesting poem. I like it when a poem I read makes me want to find out the story behind it. Very intriguing. Very much enjoyed it.

The deep sorrowful journey of an abandoned chair, as aptly told as I could imagine. You had me feeling compassion for the, "bendded and scared legs" and even the Bam! hit hard. It was a well written piece and a very enjoyable read.

A sad poem. The chair made me think of people and places that once held precious memory to my heart and life. Last line is true. Thank you for the excellent poetry.
