Somewhere Between Love And Hate

Somewhere Between Love And Hate

A Poem by M

im in the glowing flames of the fire
consumed by satisfying my taste of desire
however long the flames have burned
i have burned thrice as much and more

i have counted all the stars in the sky
and all the grains of sand scattered by the sea
i have climbed to the highest mountain
and sang to the moon in the sky with the wolves
i have went to the untouched places of earth with the desire for you
the perilous journey
the final stretch reaches out before me
Staring at the miles ahead
I look at the sky
starved and famished
Im almost there
I can make it
the journey itself was not the challenge
the challenge was a life to live with a hole in my heart

Very nice. I especially love the last line. But its a bit disappointing that it's so short.
