To Call Myself Enlightened

To Call Myself Enlightened

A Poem by demureminds

To encase myself

in your skin,

feel the warmth running through your veins.

To walk a day

in your shoes,

swimming

in your pain.

To hear the birds singing

through

your ears.

Undressing your life from your tears.

To see the sun,

hot molten star,

through your

eyes.

To see the faces in your life,

mesmerized.

To contemplate your dreams,

desires,

running from the fear,

the fire.

And as I unzip you

and crawl out,

I would’ve seen life in a different hue.

Then,

I could call myself enlightened,

because I’ve walked in someone else’s shoes.

Good to walk in another shoes. Make us understand what is real. I like the journey you took me with you in the words. A strong ending to a outstanding poem.
