I loved you like I loved no other
That love is something I rarely do give
You threw it away as though it was nothing
And, that, I'm surprised I can forgive

I messed with the ways of the world
I wished that nothing would change
That was a stupid thought of mine
But that was a risk I was willing to take

I joined my heart to yours
I made your happiness my own
And my happiness was connected to you
And still is, though you wouldn't know

I laugh, I cry, I do normal things
But it's not the same without your smile
Your laugh, your voice, in my life
For without you, emotion is like running a mile

Pain covers the happiness of success
I focus more on the bad than the good
It's like a disease caused inevitably by stress
And drugs don't work like you think they should

I wish I could tell you all this and more
But I cannot bring myself to say so
Oh, and that, I'm so sorry for
For these things, you deserve to know

I'll love you for the rest of my life, I swear
Although it'll bring me more pain than I planned
But, in the end, I suppose, I really don't care
Because this love was my whole life span

I'm dead inside already,
Merely waiting for the rest
Of my body to disintegrate
So that I may finally be at rest

As my soul rots inside me
And my heart turns cold and black
Please promise you'll remember
All the things we shared in the past
