Grey

Grey

A Poem by London
"

It's Raining and I love it.

"
Someone painted the sky grey...
Rain drops fall by the hour...
So warm on such a dark day...
A misty midsummer shower...

Someone's painting the leaves brown...
Another year for the trees...
Staring in your eyes, I could just drown...
Feeling the soft autumn breeze...

Someone painted the grass white...
Streets and sidewalks, too...
Wrap my sleeves around you so tight..
My sweater looks better on you...

I can't stop the weather...
Just grit my teeth and wait..
I'll dance with you forever...
Under a sky painted grey...

Inspiration from a rainy day i presume.....

I enjoyed your poem, particularly the idea of someone using your world as their personal canvas; adding colours amongst the dominate shade of grey.

This has a sweetly romantic tinge, with good flow and rhyme. Nice work.

I would get rid of the ellipses after each line. It serves no real purpose and is slightly distracting.

Good work overall though. You got some skills.
