mr. stark, i don't feel so good

mr. stark, i don't feel so good

A Poem by dillonjensen
"

what a pretty hate machine.

"
hate leaks like fire
from my lips
yet i've said nothing
only thoughts
i tell myself
these are thoughts
spiked with napalm
cutting flesh
like a razorblade nightmare
ripping every fiber
of the already fragile ego
i've got blood to spare
i reassure myself
and dive back in
always a glutton for punishment
because pain
is the only thing i feel...
these days

Great imagery! Really shows the depth of pain and how difficult it can be to experience. Our thoughts can really work us up — reminds me of the phrase, "you must learn to control your thoughts or your thoughts will control you". The feeling of thoughts holding onto the narrator in this poem, controlling and punishing the vessel, is tangible.

Thank you so much for your review. I really appreciate it.
Sounds like one whose inner pain is so great it cannot be felt except as rage. Hope this person doesn't own an AR-15.
