On the Train to Hallstatt

On the Train to Hallstatt

A Poem by Audrey Howitt

rain, slick and dark,

lines the neuron pathways

of detached meaning

sheeting

electrical messages

disguised as love’s harbingers

of quickened heart

pulse apace

within the blink of an eye

the moistening of tongue

the flutter of lash

unspoken

you turn

and the light falls

unfettered

love’s joy

in the moment

love's joy in the moment.......how joyful the moments were as I read this wonderful piece. Well done.

Thank you Neva!
'.. disguised as love’s harbingers ~ of quickened heart ~ pulse apace..'

Certainly seems to be an electrically charged set of emotions, quick fire, tied in a brief space and time. The word 'urgent' comes to mind. Maybe i should come back and read again; tis intense, need to ponder more
