Dance of the Plum Blossom

Dance of the Plum Blossom

A Poem by Audrey Howitt
"

A poem about the riotous dance of spring

"
White snow caresses my cheek
In a cascade of soft petals.

Spring announces herself,
Ready to pick up her sweet dance.

I await,
My dance card empty
Of all but the sweet promise
Of her light step in my direction.

Exquisite metaphors and lovely personification of a highly anticipated, much-loved visitor.
Gorgeous.

Your poem such softness is felt in the heart this is so dream-like--- yet somehow, somehow it speaks nay it whispers and such a lyrical whisper it is----

the language is eloquent, such a genuine flow to this. You make it look so simple to say so much with so few words.

Spring is coming, yes indeed, or rather, now has already. I especially love the first couplet because of the beautiful language you used.

Excellent metaphor, vision and sensitivity. Beautiful use of the lightness of spring and the swirling scents of life...
