To Kiss The Day

To Kiss The Day

A Poem by Audrey Howitt
"

A poem to appreciate the day.

"
You beckon me thither, o sweet solemn sorrow,
To the abyss of contemplation indeterminate.
Refrain from the constancy
Of your watch
For a brief moment
To kiss the sweetness
Of the day
As it passes unannounced.

...
. so profound ...
. i've learnt this lesson the hard way ... but treasure it immensely ...
. this "sweetness" for me is my life ... and each day is a day it survives ...

Can't envision this being done any better.
Concise, lyrical and wise.
You craft strong poems, Audrey.
