Who Holds This?

Who Holds This?

A Poem by Audrey Howitt
"

A poem about an unsettled heart

"

The moment loosens itself

and flees the anxiety

of a heart unsettled.

Is it mine or yours?

My Dear Writing Friend,
Your write says so much and you accomplished it with just four short lines in one verse. A truly fine example of saying more with less, I am impressed!

This is a question I find myself pondering often. Excellent piece Audrey. So good to read you again.

Despite the negative outcome, could be taken as an expression of extreme closeness. On the other hand, it might just be a unique and lyrical way of saying the moment is gone and I don't know which one of us lost it--being that we're both preoccupied, unsure or screwed-up.
Whatever the case, Audrey, a precious little nugget to add to your growing collection of rarities.
