Arduousness of Life

Arduousness of Life

A Poem by david jones
"

This is a poem about the ending of high school and the beginning of college, the beginning of life.

"
Senior year as come and gone
It didn't seem like very long
I was just in 9th grade, starting out
Now I am a senior, preparing for college
For life and the struggles it harbors
I thought senior year was trouble
I went through all year what a struggle
Working my butt off to get where I am
Not wanting to take a fifth year
Now it's time for no more slacking
Getting up in the morning isn't lacking
Following the pursuits as a writer
Going to college, getting my degree
Getting a life, meeting new people
Losing people who went a lot to me
But that is the arduousness of life
It flashes by like light with such a strife
Finding the right career
Worrying about whether success will come
All of the strenuousness of a life well lived
