In the Hospital

In the Hospital

A Poem by Debbie Barry
"

No one really rests in the hospital.

"

In the Hospital

Click, whir, buzz, beep,

I cannot fall asleep;

The nurse saysrest,

And I do try my best.

Blink, blip, flash, glare,

I can get no rest there;

No rest at all:

I’m in the hospital.

Initial reactions and constructive criticism welcome. I couldn't sleep in the hospital, but slept the better part of 16 hours once I got home.
