Chapter Seven: Love

Chapter Seven: Love

A Chapter by The old me

After we wake up and eat breakfast, I kiss Rose and Karissa bye. I need to go back to see Katie. But I’m leaving what I always wanted, a family. I would have to make the difficult decision either way. I drive home. I pull into the parking lot of Katie’s building and go inside. I get to her room and let myself in. Katie is sitting there waiting for me. She looks pissed.

“Where have you been?”

“I got caught up in work and stayed there.”

She starts to cry.

“Liar.”

I wasn’t sure what to do. I stand there thinking till she speaks again.

“Think of another lie?”

I don’t answer. She speaks again.

“Do you love me?”

I hesitate. “Of course.”

“Then why did you lie to me?”

“I don’t know.”

“Did you f**k her?”

“What?”

“Don’t play dumb. Her parents told me she came out of the coma.”

“Wait. You knew she was in a coma?”

Anger fills my body.

“Umm…yeah but she told you to move on.”

“And why didn’t you tell me?!” I yell.

“I just didn’t want you to waste your life waiting for her.”

I go to leave. She screams back.

“Please don’t leave me!!!”

I turn back to face her. “Didn’t you think that waiting or not was my decision?”

“I just wanted you to be happy. Aren’t you happy with me?”

“I thought I was. But it must have been a lie.”

I walk out and slam the door behind me. I go to my car and drive back to Rose.

Wow... well everything just seemed to blow up here. Crazy chapter, but at least explanations are out more.
