Jackhammer,-ammer,-ammer

Jackhammer,-ammer,-ammer

A Poem by Diana

The decibel level of the terror was deafening.
My ears were ringing
Heart pounding, a pulsating grit inside my chest.

Jackhammer...-ammer...-ammering away
At the facade of all I've ever known,
a coagulated heart.

Strong description here. I recently woke from a dream of having stepped on a nail. My heart was definitely pounding. Nice job. ~Jim

You make us hear this one, see this one, feel this one.
I am connecting a little too much with this poem at the present time.

Nice work, Diana,

The heart can be extremely deafening at times. Nicely said.

I had a panic attack in a store once and wound up leaving my carraige in the isle half-full. This brings back memories for sure. :)
