Neutron Star

Neutron Star

A Poem by df

in the edges of the universe,

through star clusters and galaxies,
nebulae where all are born,
matter, life, the breath of mine,
places where minds wander,

comprised of stellar remnants,
lies the queen of the moons

her cosmic beauty radiates

gamma waves,
her omnipotent grace dances
elliptical orbits,
her celestial smile empowers
life like the sun

such dense matter grabs hold,
warping space-time to her will.

Here I am,
a quark swept away by the
very force which holds all
together.

as in any quantum state, two can be one
