Rules?

Rules?

A Poem by Dreamwind

Rules?

What rules,

What jewels,

Tucked safely away,

Held tenderly,

Each day,

By my hands only,

Lonely,

Is a shelter,

A peaceful pause,

A breathing moment,

Free from the laws,

Of romance,

The dances,

That take,

Your breath away,

Then stay,

And never give it back,

To you,

And the truth,

Of quiet,

Steals the peace,

Of the night,

And the stars,

Are unseen,

Under,

The cover,

Of lost dreams,

The jewels disappear,

When the rules,

Are not clear,

And the soul's song,

Becomes wrong,

Again,

I miss my friend.
