Imposter

Sometime intrusive thoughts say stop.....

You ever feel like you're out of your league, 

a real talent shows, at best, 

amateur, is all you will be, 

This sea that's for sailing, 

is meant for the true, 

look in the mirror know that's not you. 

True titans of pen, 

masters of prose, 

whose shadow's we walk, 

struggling with words to flow. 

Truly I'm imposter, 

of that I am sure,  

I will not quit continuing's the cure.

Dave, you are a good writer! but a bit of self doubt is always healthy.
i was told that being humble doesn't mean thinking you suck, but rather, knowing that you can still do better. i'm always trying to find ways to be better, and that's part of the reason why i r e a d a lot of works here on this site. and i do get inspiration from you.

Dear Dave you should not belittle yourself, nor compare yourself to to other people’s poetry…. Each of us is unique and yours is as good as anyone else’s….. we have to pursue our thoughts and pen them the best way we can; so give yourself a hug and keep writing because I enjoy your poetry!
